PEMBINA (KEYZ) – U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized millions in fake money along the North Dakota and Canada border over the weekend.
Authorities say three-point-six million dollars worth of counterfeit currency was found in cargo last Friday. Initially, the feds say they looked into commercial cargo they thought was described as toy guns.
Turns out the shipment had 36-thousand fake 100-dollar bills, with only nine toy guns.
The seized cash will be destroyed.
