WILLISTON (KEYZ) – In what is believed to be a first for North Dakota Airports, Williston’s XWA Airport will allow non-ticketed individuals to pass through the TSA checkpoint.
“They can meet and greet passengers arriving or departing from the gate, and utilize our restaurant as well,” says airport director Anthony Dudas.
Dudas adds the pass won’t cost anything and obtaining one is as simple as passing a TSA background check, similar as if you were flying out of the airport.
“We’re hoping to get people out to XWA, get them to see the facility, and to enjoy this critical piece of infrastructure,” explains Dudas.
The XWA pass is still in development and is expected to be available in early October.
